Dharam Deep Singh is currently leading the way for a new era and revolution of Kundalini Yoga, Meditation, Dance Music, Sound Healing, Ceremonial Cacao, and Kirtan on the West Coast. Leading workshops in Ojai, Santa Cruz, Oakland, San Diego, Los Angeles, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, and as far as the magical island of Bali in Indonesia, Dharam is taking his extensive and prolific background in electronic dance music and blending it with the uplifting, consciousness-expanding, and heart-opening practice of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation.
Dharam Deep’s Kundalini Yoga & Meditation classes are known for being an out-of-body experience, magic carpet ride, and journey into ecstatic bliss. Altered states of consciousness are obtained through pranayama, mantra, mudra, asana, and meditation. Often integrating ecstatic dance and free-form tribal flow dancing, every class is an adventure into uplifting, melodic, and rejuvenating music. From kirtan to breakbeat to tribal house back down to kirtan right before a final gong sound bath, every chakra is cleansed and restored with new energy and life so that you can face each moment ahead with vigor, vitality, enthusiasm, and strength. Medical Meditation for healing is taught and practiced with a focus on applying mulbandh to enter into the state of samadhi. Call and response chanting in Sanskrit and Gurmukhi incorporating the Japji Sahib and the Mul Mantra are favorites of students and teachers alike. Every class is a transformative experience using the ancient science and technology of Kundalini Yoga.
Studying Kundalini Yoga & Meditation since 2006, Dharam found Kundalini Yoga & Meditation during a time of crisis needing intense physical and spiritual healing. Finding inspiration in the words of Yogi Bhajan’s lecture on sadhana (spiritual discipline), Dharam made his way to his first Kundalini Yoga & Meditation class with Guru Dev Singh on opening the Third Eye at Golden Bridge Yoga – Los Angeles. After many intense and powerful mystical experiences, Dharam decided to dedicate his life’s journey to empowering others through the practice and teachings of Kundalini Yoga & Meditation as Taught by Yogi Bhajan. Dharam has taught extensively over the past six years at festivals, workshops, and classes including, but not limited to Symbiosis Gathering, the Magical Mastery School in Ojai, Yoga Tree, the Kundalini Co-Op of San Francisco, Dharam Deep Fridays at the Center SF, Enchanted Forest – Mendo, Earth Tribe Yoga – Oakland, and Guru Ram Das ashram. When not teaching Kundalini Yoga, Dharam enjoys DJing house music at Burning Man, the LovEvolution Parade, and just about anywhere he can find a pair of turntables.
